In fact this Ryanair airport is about 70 km north-east of Hamburg in Lübeck which is far away from being a part of Hamburg. Take the "Airportbus" towards "Hamburg-ZOB". It is harmonized with the plane's landing and will take 75 min. to "Hamburg ZOB", which is the bus-terminal of the Hamburg's central station. Go in direction of the central station but do not enter the hall, because the stairs to the U2 subway station "Hauptbahnhof-Nord" are in front of the hall. Also pass the stairs down to "Hauptbahnhof-Süd" (U1, U3) which is nearer then "Hauptbahnhof-Nord" (U2), but not connected to it. Follow instructions for public transport from central station "Hamburg Hbf". The ticket price for the "Airportbus Lübeck-Hamburg" is 8,00 Euro, the price for the subway is 2,60 Euro.
